I’ve been very pleased with a new ‘partnership’ between myself\/Frogging Around and the Online Editor of the Sunshine Valley Gazette, with the online publication of an article introducing our local frogs, and a series of ‘frog profiles’ beginning later in the once the weather warms up. These profiles will feature a particular frog species each fortnight and will be made up of both ‘common’ frogs and the threatened ones. The purpose is to publicise our local frogs and educate the public on ways of encouraging them into their yards.<\/p>\n

Last weekend I had a great time helping at the QLD Frog Society’s frog display at the QLD Garden Expo. This is the third year we’ve been there and we’re always kept on our feet answering people’s questions and educating them on frogs and cane toads.<\/p>\n

View from above: Lots of questions and queries which was excellent. Sold very reasonable amount of resources too which goes towards the Society and frog research.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Onto the Honours Project side of things, I was in the USC Analytical Water Lab a few weeks ago analysing water samples I collected out in the field. Also began preliminary data analysis with a few interesting graphs to explore further on.<\/p>\n
