About Jono

I've recently finished my Honours degree at the University of the Sunshine Coast, researching - you guessed it, frogs (urban edge effects on wallum frogs, to be exact). Aside from frogging, I love volunteering with various environmental organisations' frog monitoring programs and meeting people who share similar interests. I also volunteer as the Editor and Web Admin for the Queensland Frog Society. Outside of that, I really enjoy helping lead a youth group.

I reckon frogs are really interesting and cool creatures, because of their unique design, and array of calls, colours and diversity. It's hard to explain the feeling you get when you see your first giant barred frog in front of you; a feeling that you never grow tired of.

We have such a variety of frog species here in South-east Queensland that we are real spoilt, but should take care of what we've been blessed with. Check out the frog gallery if you don't believe me (there are still so many species I haven't come across on camera yet!).

As well as an interest in frogs, I also enjoy creating websites (ok, third reason for creating this website) and graphic design, play the trombone, love bushwalks and hanging out with friends. I'm also the cartoonist of the Dog and Selwyn too! cartoons.
